Exploring Copenhagen

Exploring Copenhagen

Mission & team

Our mission

Exploring Copenhagen shares stories of Copenhagen and its innovative projects and transformations. We believe that sharing stories creates knowledge. This creates agency to further contribute to Copenhagen’s sustainable development. We want people to absorb great implemented ideas and get inspired - and have a good time while doing so.

Our team

Our guides are all architects and urban planners who live and work in Copenhagen.

Bo Christiansen

Bo has been living and working in Copenhagen since 1986. He holds a master in architecture at Karch Copenhagen and has a postgraduate master at UW Seattle USA. Education has always been a cornerstone of Bo's philosophy. He has been teaching at DIS and started up the Nordic Urban Leadership Program. In 2004 he founded Scaledenmark together with Vibeke Larsen and joined the international network of Guiding architects. Bo speaks Danish, English and German.

Mastering the art of edutainment, Bo will make sure you get a creative mix of education and entertainment. You will learn from seeing and actively experiencing the built reality, while his lively storytelling provides unique insights in Copenhagen's livability.

Marrije Vanden Eynde

Marrije trained as a civil engineer - architect and urban designer at the University of Ghent (Belgium). Here she developed a passion for socially conscious design and planning. During her advanced master at the KU Leuven she specialised in urban development issues, recovering all layers of ecological thinking (social, political, spatial).

She has been living and working in Copenhagen since 2018. She has experience from designpractice and guiding, both as a historical city guide and as a guiding architect for Scaledenmark. Marrije speaks Dutch, English and Danish.
