Nordhavn is being developed into Copenhagens sustainable neighborhood of the future, in order to support the city*s aim of becoming CO2-neutral and designed to reach all amenities within 5 minutes’ walk. The history of the industrial harbor offers inspiration for its development. We conduct a 4 hours walk or biking tour and are visiting amongst others:
Park & Play | JAJA architects
The parking house is a hybrid structure providing public space in the densely built neighbourhood (includes visit to the fitness roof).
The Top of Nordø; COBE & Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects
The cylindric structure is clad in glass and galvanized steel, the 60-meter-high circular multi-user office and leisure hub evokes a modern lighthouse. Conceived as both a workplace and public destination, its lighthouse-like appearance, lush public winter garden, and waterfront urban spaces create a vibrant interface between work, leisure, nature, and community.
The silo | COBE
A renovated old silo forms an orientation point and landmark in the new neighbourhood.
Copenhagen International school | C.F. Møller
The school has four different towers and a unique façade, covered by solar panels which supply half of the school’s energy consumption.
NORDHUSET, Gøteborg Plads, Water Culture house, Kanonhuset, etc...
